The Selfbuild takes one day for Garenberg to install, or 1-2 days for a competent diyer or local handyman. We recommend at least 2-3 people for installation. The panels are heavy so 2 of these people need to be fairly strong.
The Karma building takes our team 3-5 days depending on the size of the building and location. Diy installation is not possible with this building.
Building parts can usually be carried through the house if necessary. We have always managed to get our buildings installed even in the most difficult of access situations. A quick site visit will solve any access problems – just contact us on 01204 593094 or email us to arrange a site visit.
The Selfbuild range includes the complete building with electrics, skirting boards, painted doors and windows, glass and adjustable base system. It does not include painted walls, finished flooring (e.g. laminate) and optional installation (£500). The Selfbuild must be installed on a well laid patio or concrete base which is not supplied by Garenberg.
The Karma range includes everything apart from the furniture. A typical standard building will have cedar cladding, UPVc windows and doors, Low E glass, pad foundation system, white painted walls, full electrics including connection to the house supply, 5 double sockets, 4 recessed down-lights, pebble roof and commercial EPDM roof membrane. A full planning permission service can also carried by Garenberg if required.
We need to park our large van outside or near to your house for the duration of the build. A small truck will also need access on the first day, possibly second day on large builds. The van and truck are around 6m and 7m long. Parking permits are usually easy to get from your local council.
